The story
Our founder spent over 25 years building a managed services company from the ground up in New Orleans. Not working at one — building one. That means hiring, managing, growing, losing clients, winning them back, and figuring out every technical challenge that comes with running a real business that people depend on.
Eventually, he sold it. A larger firm made an offer that made sense, and he took it. Then he did something a lot of people talk about but don't do — he chose where he actually wanted to live.
The North Carolina mountains. West Jefferson, in the High Country. A place with real people, real community, and a pace of life worth building something for.
His family made the move too, including a son who brings over a decade of hands-on systems administration experience. NRT is a family operation, and that's intentional. It means we're not going anywhere. It means we're invested in this community the way our clients are invested in theirs.
Why NRT
Most small businesses in the High Country are underserved when it comes to technology. They're either managing it themselves, relying on someone's nephew, or paying big-city rates to a firm that doesn't know their name. None of those are good options.
NRT was built to be the real answer — enterprise-grade experience, delivered locally, priced fairly, and backed by a team that picks up the phone.
